It's Time to Lime it Up for Lymphoma

This year in the lead up to World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD) on September 15 and beyond Lymphoma Australia is encouraging people to paint the town, and themselves green, as we Lime It Up for Lymphoma.

The Lime It Up campaign is aimed at increasing national community awareness for Lymphoma and raising funds to support the much needed patient services for this cancer. Lime It Up will also help promote World Lymphoma Awareness Day with the Sydney Opera House leading the way.

In order to get Lymphoma as a cancer noticed, it is important to promote and advocate it. Wearing lime green either as a ribbon, wristband or at a dress down day is more than wearing an ordinary colour.

It's a mission, a statement and awareness for an important cause that affects thousands of men, women and children. When you wear lime green, you help put Lymphoma in the forefront and you stand up to this cancer by advocating, supporting and fighting for a cure.

Lymphoma Australia

Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system.
Lymphoma is:

5th most common cause of cancer in Australia
Lymphoma is one of the fastest growing cancers in the western world.
Unlike lung cancer and melanoma the cause is not known.

Lymphoma Australia is Australia's only not for profit charity dedicated exclusively to the provision of support and information to Australia's growing population of Lymphoma patients and their families.

We aim to:

Provide education and support for individuals with lymphoma and their support network
Raise community awareness to the signs of lymphoma
Advocate for the best treatment and care for lymphoma patients

Every donation helps us move closer to a cure.
